Majestic Pure Hair styling Gel

I ordered Majestic Pure Hair Styling Gel, because my son complains of gels leaving his hair crunchy. He's 12 and starting to care more about his appearance.  I was happy  that it was 90% organic, and I was intrigued to see how it worked.  First reaction after opening the product was the smell. I can definitely smell the witch hazel, which to me seemed like an odd thing to have in hair gel. I put a little on my fingers to just get a feel for it. It's just a wet feel, not sticky like most hair gels, which worried me about the ability to make it hold. It rubbed in and dried quickly without a residue feel on my hands. We've tried this a number of times in my son's hair and it is not a strong hold like it claims.  It is good for taming  parts that like to stick up, but to old the style my son was wanting, it just didn't work so well. It did stay some and left the hair still soft and movable.  You could  still play with your hair some and it did help keep it in place some, it was not what I expected. I did read the fine print on the container and it says provides a light hold to all hair types.
I think it is best to tame frizzy hair and flyaways.  I will say it left my sons hair feeling fantastic, super soft.
