I've used shea butter in the past, mostly shea butter lotions. I liked how moisturizing they were, and wanted to give this a try.
Majestic Pure Shea Butter came in a brick form. It says to rub a small amount into your hands until melted and then apply a thin coat to your skin. I decided to try this on my hands and my husbands dry hands and elbows. First off, there is a slight scent, but it's just the smell of the shea butter itself, nothing added to it, and the smell is not bad, kind of a neutral scent. It is super moisturizing and after just a few days of use, I can tell a difference. I kind of pinch/break a little bit off. It melts pretty pretty nicely, doesn't take a long time to heat up with your hands. I love that my hands or wherever I use it feels super moisturized for a while. It doesn't just soak in and then I need to reapply. I almost prefer to use it as a lotion bar. I am planning on cutting a small "bar" off and use it as a lotion bar for ease of use. It's just hard to get the whole brick out sometimes to use it.
Overall I really do love this product and we are seeing great results so far and I'm enjoying my softer and more moisturized skin!
